She writes her own ongoing comic book series, Road Trip to Hell. Nicole D'Andria works as a freelance writer/editor specializing in comics. The illustrations went viral and were all over the Internet, but Mike Mignola: The Quarantine Sketchbook marks the first time the sketches will be collected in print. His quarantine sketches featured not just his Hellboy character but also a variety of other pop culture characters, including Batman (who he co-wrote in Batman: The Doom That Came To Gotham and drew in the Batman/Hellboy/Starman crossover), Dracula (who he also illustrated in a comic book adaptation), and He-Man.
Mignola has worked on Hellboy for over 25 years, took part in the filmmaking process of the franchise, and worked as a Production Designer on Disney's Atlantis: The Lost Empire. He originally auctioned these pieces off online to benefit World Central Kitchen (WCK).
Mike Mignola, the creator of Hellboy, began penciling these sketches during the pandemic. Dark Horse Comics will be releasing Mike Mignola: The Quarantine Sketchbook, which collects Mignola's sketches during his time in lockdown, and the proceeds will be going to charity.
